Overview

The Extend B2B Address Book App allows B2B customers to add, manage, and reuse multiple shipment addresses directly from their customer account and select any saved address at checkout.

For merchants, the app also provides an Additional Addresses Block that can be added in the Shopify Admin under Company Locations, allowing internal teams to view shipment addresses in a structured and pinned layout.

By the end of this guide, you’ll be able to:

  • Enable customers to manage shipment addresses from their accounts

  • Allow customers to select and edit saved addresses at checkout

  • Add and pin the Addresses Block in Shopify Admin for better internal visibility

Prerequisites

Before you continue, ensure that:

  • The Extend B2B Address Book App is installed and pinned in Shopify Admin

  • Shopify B2B features are enabled

  • You have admin access to manage:

    • Company locations

    • Customer accounts

    • App extensions

Important Note

To allow your customers to use multiple shipping addresses per location, you will need to enable this in that company’s or location’s settings. To do this:

  • Go to Shopify Admin → Customers → Companies.

  • On the right hand column, look for Customizations.

  • Click the pencil icon next to checkout.

  • Check ‘Allow customers to ship to one-time address’.

App Capabilities at a Glance

Customer Account

  • Customers can add, edit, and delete shipment addresses

  • Addresses are saved to the company location

  • All saved addresses are reusable at checkout

Checkout

  • Customers can select any saved address from an address selection modal

  • Customers can edit addresses during checkout

  • Reduces repetitive address entry and checkout friction

Shopify Admin (Addresses Block)

  • Merchants can add an Addresses Block to Company Locations

  • The block can be pinned for quick access

  • Displays shipment addresses added by customers

Install and Pin the Extend B2B Address Book App

Before configuring the app extensions, you must first install the app and pin it in your Shopify Admin.

Install the App

  1. Log in to Shopify Admin

  2. Go to the Shopify App Store

  3. Search for Extend B2B Address Book

  4. Click Install

  5. Approve the required permissions

Pin the App in Shopify Admin

  • After installation, the app appears in the left-side Apps panel in Shopify Admin

  • Click the pin icon next to Extend B2B Address Book so it stays visible in the sidebar

Open the App to Complete Installation

  1. Click Extend B2B Address Book from the left sidebar

  2. When prompted, click Install

  3. Once completed, the app is fully installed and ready to be configured
